Grid Connection/HV/BESS Design Manager (H/F)

On behalf of one of our international clients operating in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for a Grid Connection/HV/BESS Design Manager (M/F) in Australia.

As Grid Connection/HV/BESS Design Manager, your main tasks will be to :

•Project support on Grid Connection Process
Registration studies (R1)
Design and specification of plant, equipment, control strategy, controller settings, Harmonic filters and SCADA architecture impacting Grid Connection Process (including short circuit studies, Isolation Coordination studies, Arc Flash studies). From Inverter LV AC terminal up to the point of Connection. Close coordination with eBOP design for MV cables design (CYMCAP etc…).
Connection Agreement review and negotiation
Ensuring that all components of the project that are impacted by the Grid Connection Process and technical solutions, such as procurement, contracts, construction, commissioning, financial impacts, risks, etc – are understood and managed consistently with the broader project teams
R2 Hold Point testing
HV Substation and Inverter station MV switchgears commissioning (primary and secondary injections)
Overall support internationally to PV and BESS projects regarding Grid Connection topics, in coordination with STECCN.

•O&M Support on Grid Connection matters
Firmware update process and testing (5.2.2 or 5.3.9 process)
Coleambally SF Schneider FW update
Coleambally R2 issue (PSCAD Wide Area Network issue with AEMO)
Suntop SF Ingeteam FW update
Support during DLP/O&M on Grid issues
Suntop SF PFR non compliance
Compliance Monitoring Program (NEOEN projects only)
Drafting of plan
Site testing
Reporting
Capture and share Return of Experience

•Business Development team technical support
Contract review and risk analysis (Grid Responsibility Matrix)
Technical specifications for:
Generating units (Inverters) and controllers
BESS
HV substations
Grid Consultants
SCADA
Harmonic filters
Provide technical support to develop of BESS solution in coordination with Business Development Team

•Develop company capability to self-perform HV substations delivery
Find partners for design
Primary, Secondary and Civil design
Find partners for Control buildings and P&C panels assembly.
Find reliable contractors for construction
Recruit and train in house engineering resources to develop our own S/S design.

•Grid Connection Commissioning:
R2 Hold Point Testing
SCADA
HV substations
BESS
Develop methods and commissioning plan (ITC/ITP) for future projects

•Develop and manage specialist team of power system engineers, electrical engineers, and BESS engineers (approx. 8 HC)

Profil recherché

First experience in France in the design of solar farms, with a strong ability to coach and manage a young team (minimum 20 people). Good coordinator, able to manage both local interactions and the remote management of the design office in France. Proven decision-making and arbitration skills.

Bachelor's degree (Bac+2/+3) with 5 years of confirmed experience in project design management. OR Master's degree (Bac+5) in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
