Earthworks engineer (M/F)

On behalf of one of our international clients located in Germany, we are looking for a Earthworks engineer (M/F).
As an earthworks engineer, your role is to :

Team Management

Manage teams
Present the site, its stakes, risks, and the work to be carried out to all team members
Set objectives for team members
Support the professionalization and skill development of teams, and facilitate HR processes within their area of responsibility
Encourage good professional practices and regulate inappropriate behaviors
Site Preparation

Study the contract documents (administrative clauses, technical documents), price study, and strategic choices made by the agency manager, and discuss them during the transfer meeting
Carry out administrative procedures within deadlines (road permits, DICT, etc.)
Verify the actual site conditions (terrain, additional studies, execution methods, environment, surveys, coring, etc.), define the installation and access plan, then establish the PPSPP and the Quality Assurance Plan
Define the human resources (teams, skills, availability), materials, equipment, and financial resources necessary for the proper completion of the work
Prepare and present the estimated budget for the operation for validation by their hierarchy
Establish the overall and provisional schedule and determine yields (ratios)
Site Execution Monitoring

Organize, schedule, and manage work and ensure proper contractual management of the project
Participate in site meetings and facilitate coordination meetings with subcontractors/suppliers
Ensure compliance with directives, standards, and regulations, especially regarding health and safety
Carry out technical checks during execution (materials, on-site material fabrication, conformity to the plan, etc.) and decide on any necessary corrections
Monitor the budget for the work, analyze deviations from the estimated budget, and optimize results (operating account, revenue, and cash flow)
Handle formalities in case of changes or extensions to the work
Set objectives for the site manager to ensure the delivery of the work to the client in accordance with industry standards (cost, quality, and deadlines)
Present progress of the work and ensure monthly billing, prepare advance payment requests from the client; monitor the cash flow of the site (payments received and outstanding)
Quality, Prevention, Safety, and Environment

Ensure proper application of directives, procedures, and regulations regarding work execution and individual and collective safety on site
Ensure the quality of work is achieved within the scheduled deadlines
Ensure compliance with environmental constraints and oversee the implementation of corresponding measures
Lead planned safety prevention initiatives
Delivery of Works

Request acceptance of the work and obtain contractual documents (DGD, acceptance report, capacity certificate, etc.) in collaboration with the project manager
Address reservations and conduct lessons learned sessions
Prepare and initiate billing, verify subcontractor bills, and follow up on collection in coordination with the CFO. If necessary, submit a claim for validation to their hierarchical superior
Customer Relations and Business Development

Maintain regular contact with known clients
Identify possible new opportunities and handle them with relevant internal departments
Be responsible for the evolution of the initial scope of work and the optimization of its financial result

Profil recherché

Fluent German
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction, or a related field.
Minimum of five years' experience in similar managerial positions, with significant experience in managing construction sites, preferably in large-scale projects.
Excellent knowledge of construction standards, health and safety regulations, as well as administrative procedures related to project execution.
Proven experience in managing human and financial resources, as well as in developing and managing project budgets.
