Railway surveyor
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct Topographic Surveys: Perform detailed land surveys for tramway alignment, station construction, and infrastructure design.
- Control and Verify Alignments: Ensure the correct positioning of tracks, catenary systems, and other tramway infrastructure during construction.
- Use of Surveying Instruments: Utilize and maintain advanced surveying tools (total stations, GPS, 3D scanners, etc.) to gather precise data for project development.
- Ensure Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all survey data complies with local and international tramway design and construction standards.
- Create Technical Plans: Prepare accurate plans, cross-sections, and other documents based on field data.
- Update Project Data: Continuously update and manage project-related geographic and topographic data throughout the design and construction phases.
- Coordinate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technical teams to integrate survey data into project design and execution.
- Monitor Site Conditions: Identify and address any on-site issues that may impact the project's topographical requirements.
- Experience: At least 2-5 years of experience in surveying, preferably in the railway, tramway, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency with Surveying Tools: Experience with advanced surveying instruments (total stations, GPS, 3D laser scanners) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Knowledge of Construction Standards: Understanding of industry-specific regulations, including safety and quality standards related to tramway and railway infrastructure.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of the local language (Arabic) may be an asset.
