Project Overview :

This is a major LNG infrastructure project involving the construction of critical marine facilities, including:
•A Material Offloading Facility (MOF) for heavy and bulk cargo
•An LNG load-out jetty and wharf, extending 4,600 meters into the sea
•5 berths/platforms: 4 for LNG, 1 for condensate
•Mooring infrastructure to receive large LNG carriers

The project is resuming following a period of suspension, with activities set to restart in late summer. Construction is being delivered under an international EPC framework, using specialized marine equipment and heavy offshore methods.

Position Summary :
The Technical Manager plays a central role in coordinating the engineering and technical activities of the project. This includes supervising construction methodologies, ensuring alignment with design and execution plans, managing technical interfaces, and supporting on-site teams in implementing marine works. The role ensures engineering excellence and compliance across all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities :

Engineering & Methods :
•Supervise and validate shop drawings, method statements, and construction sequences for marine works
•Ensure technical compliance in the execution of offshore infrastructure: piling, dredging, caissons, precast, and heavy lift
•Coordinate with the central design office to address field conditions and propose optimized solutions
•Monitor construction methods and assist in continuous improvement

Technical Coordination :
•Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, and EPC engineers
•Interface with planning, quality, HSE, and production teams to ensure smooth project delivery
•Participate in technical meetings, risk assessments, constructability reviews

Quality & Compliance :
•Ensure adherence to engineering standards, technical specifications, and international norms
•Support the management of technical deliverables and documentation
•Validate quality control procedures from a technical perspective

Construction Support :
•Provide technical support to site teams during execution
•Troubleshoot technical issues arising during installation or offshore operations
•Participate in site coordination and progress monitoring

Innovation & Optimization :
•Contribute to value engineering and process optimization
•Promote best practices in marine construction and offshore operations

Profil recherché

Education :
•Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Structural Engineering

Experience :
•Minimum 10 years of experience in marine infrastructure, particularly in:
oJetty, wharf, or port construction
oOffshore piling, dredging, heavy-lift, and marine fleet operations
oComplex international EPC environments

Language :
•Fluent in English (oral and written)
•Portuguese or French is a plus

Key Competencies :
•Strong technical and analytical mindset
•Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams
•Experience in offshore construction logistics and constraints
•Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, STAAD, or equivalent
•Commitment to safety, quality, and documentation standards
