Project Context
As part of an ambitious airport infrastructure development in the Dominican Republic, a major construction project is scheduled to begin in January 2026. With an expected duration of three years, the site will be set up in a tropical, hot, and humid environment, requiring significant deployment of lifting and concrete production equipment.
This position is being planned in advance to ensure optimal preparation and execution of the works. The Equipment Manager will play a key role in setting up and managing the technical fleet, working in close collaboration with the site management teams throughout the operational phase. The mission will begin with technical assistance in the pre-construction phase and continue during site operations.
Main Responsibilities
• Oversee the setup of the construction site, including the installation of equipment and the assembly of tower cranes (45 m height with 65–70 m jibs).
• Ensure the reception, inspection, and commissioning of heavy equipment: cranes, concrete batching plants, Potain, Deber machinery, etc.
• Organize preventive and corrective maintenance of all site equipment to avoid breakdowns and ensure high equipment availability.
• Implement a rigorous tracking system for equipment condition and maintenance operations.
• Plan demobilization activities at the end of the project, including crane disassembly and equipment removal.
• Ensure all machines are operational at least one hour before the start of daily work, to maintain the site’s productivity.
Supervise and train local technicians, ensuring effective communication with on-site teams.

Profil recherché

• Degree in civil engineering, construction, or electromechanics, with substantial on-site experience.
• Proven experience in a similar position, ideally on large-scale international projects (infrastructure or airport-related).
• Fluent Spanish is mandatory, with an operational level sufficient to communicate effectively with technicians. Knowledge of French or English is a plus.
• Good understanding of climatic constraints (hot and humid zone) and logistics in tropical environments.
• Preferred candidate origins: Latin America, Europe, or the Philippines.
• Ability to upskill quickly if technical or language skills are intermediate, provided the candidate demonstrates strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Expected salary: under €50,000/year, depending on experience and employment status (expatriate or local).
