Job Summary:
The Surveyor Manager is responsible for overseeing all surveying activities related to railway construction projects. This includes planning, coordinating, and supervising survey operations to ensure accurate land measurements, alignment, and topographic data collection. The Surveyor Manager ensures compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations while leading the survey team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Survey Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement survey strategies to support railway construction projects.
- Conduct site reconnaissance and feasibility studies before project execution.
- Ensure the accuracy of land measurements, topographic mapping, and track alignments.
- Oversee the establishment of control points, benchmarks, and reference markers.

Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Supervise and mentor a team of surveyors and field technicians.
- Assign tasks and ensure that survey operations meet project timelines.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to integrate survey data into construction plans.

Data Management & Analysis:
- Process and analyze survey data using GIS, CAD, and other relevant software.
- Ensure the preparation of detailed reports, maps, and technical drawings.
- Verify and validate survey results for accuracy and compliance with specifications.

- Ensure all surveying activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Conduct quality checks to detect and correct any discrepancies in survey data.
- Work closely with site managers and quality control teams to ensure precise execution of railway installations.

Equipment & Resource Management:
- Oversee the selection, maintenance, and calibration of surveying instruments.
- Ensure the survey team has the necessary tools and resources to perform efficiently.
- Implement safety protocols and best practices for fieldwork.

Profil recherché

Qualifications & Skills:
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 7-10 years in surveying, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, preferably in railway or infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in surveying tools such as GPS, Total Station, Theodolite, and Laser Scanners.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other mapping software.
- Understanding of railway alignment, land grading, and geodetic principles.

Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple projects.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality control.

Certifications:
- Professional Surveying License (preferred but not mandatory).

Work Conditions:
- Site-based role with fieldwork in different project locations.
- May require working extended hours and weekends to meet project deadlines.
- Exposure to outdoor environments, including rough terrains and construction sites.
